“Pitch Perfect” is a musical comedy film released in 2012. The movie follows the story of Beca Mitchell, a rebellious and talented college freshman who joins an all-female a cappella group called the Barden Bellas at Barden University.
The Barden Bellas, led by their determined and enthusiastic captain Aubrey Posen, are known for their traditional and outdated musical arrangements. However, with Beca’s arrival, the group starts to undergo a transformation. Beca introduces modern and innovative musical mash-ups, injecting new life into the Bellas’ performances.
As the Bellas prepare for the collegiate a cappella championships, they face fierce competition from their male counterparts, the Treblemakers, led by the charismatic and cocky Beca’s love interest, Jesse Swanson. The film showcases the rivalry between the two groups and the challenges they encounter along the way.
Throughout the movie, the audience gets to know the diverse personalities of the Bellas, each with their own quirks and talents. Fat Amy, Chloe, Cynthia Rose, Lilly, and the other members of the group add humor, drama, and heart to the story.
Savannah Hahn states, ¨I think Pitch is a really good movie one of the strengths of the franchise is its ability to balance comedy with heartfelt moments and themes of friendship, self-discovery, and embracing one’s uniqueness.”
Izzy Armstrong said, “I really like this movie! I watch it all the time because it’s my dads favorite movie, and I think it is so funny. My favorite part of the movie is when the Barden Bellas sang “I saw the Sign” X “Eternal Flame” and “Turn The Beat Around” at regionals.”
