Palmer Relays
On Thursday, May 4, 2023, the boys and girls track teams will compete at the Palmer Relays at Fred J. Brown Stadium. Seniors Peyton Coressel and Santiago Valdez talk about this big meet.
“I am very excited to compete again and to be able to run for my team,” says Coressel. “After being out for so long and to be put back in during the Palmer Relays is going to be a blast.” Coressel broke his foot before his senior season had started which caused him to put everything on hold. With him back to full health, the team could make a strong improvement in many aspects.
“The Palmer Relays is one of the best meets to compete at and always puts up a great performance,” says Valdez. Valdez also exclaimed how exciting and funny it will be to watch the “fat man relays” which is a relay for the throwers to run in. Valdez is looking to make some improvements at the Palmer Relays that will help the team place and win the meet.
With this being the only home meet during the regular season, this could be one of the last times that these two will compete at Fred J. Brown Stadium. They look to make it the best performance to help the team win. We wish them the best of luck on Thursday.
