DHS Choir State Contest

In early March, Defiance High School’s Acapella choir participated in a district contest and received a superior rating! They will now be returning to the state contest on the 21st to be scored again for their hard work!
Anna Tackett, a DHS senior, has expressed that the choir along with herself has been working hard since day one; constantly going through notes and rhythms. “I am excited for the stage performance, sight reading, and most of all the audience’s reaction to our songs!”
Drake Wenninger, a DHS senior, has been working hard consistently. “I have been doing my best to make the things that were good in round one even better. It can be difficult to find aspects of your performance that need work, but well worth it once they’re fixed.” Wenninger is extremely excited about the whole experience from start to finish.
We wish the choir luck and to have so much fun this weekend!
